Quantum-Entangled Medium Laser

The Quantum-Entangled Medium Laser fires a large single coherent quantum-entangled beam, which is quite heat-efficient for a considerable damage output.
However, half of the time it hits, the Laser does absolutely nothing.
Rumors[edit]
It was said it was part of a secret plot by The Society to make the weapons held by the Warrior Caste ineffective. It is unknown how the technology got to the Inner Sphere, where the weapon was constructed (as a series of prototypes) by Comstar.
Rules[edit]
Upon a successful hit, flip a coin or throw a d6. On half the cases (1-3 on the d6), the attack does nothing. (heat is still generated on the firing unit)
Additional rules[edit]
The QE Medium Laser (as all the family of Quantum-Entangled Lasers) is pre-nerfed and uses different fundamental physics to its cousins; thus it is immune to the laser nerfing extra rules when applicable. It also can't use the listed optional laser buffs.
However, you can use the advanced rule of the "Probability-Distributed Quantum-Entangled Medium Laser". In this case, the weapon only deals 3 damage instead of 6, but has 100% chance of dealing them on a hit.
